Education is an investment, and more importantly, an expensive one. Education is an investment without a tangible product. Students can earn a piece of paper that qualifies them to “check a box” or qualify for specific opportunities, but it doesn’t guarantee them a paycheck.
While higher-ed used to be an industry of, “if you build it, they will come,” this is no longer true. Consumer are becoming wiser... they hear the scrutiny institutions are under while trying to justify their academic offerings and pricing. Consumers are listening and they are asking questions.
What if we approached the idea of academic program offerings and the overall marketing of them different? What if we stopped selling “prop planes” (that was just an example) with no future demand and start developing and delivering programs with true market value and project employment demands?
At PEAK, it’s no longer a conversation about “what if”. It has become a conversation of “what does it take” to inform these conversations and influence real results.
